Taz did it again!

Hello folks!
Taz did it again! She went to the shops far far away in the deep and dark places in Helsinki, selecting high quality flour, the best fresh exotic vegetables, the most hot and spicy and juicy chilli's and perfect manufactured (what do I say, hand-made of course!) olive oil. Yes yes, The chef of our flat, ouhlala, went out shopping to serve her flatmates and friends the best Asian dish you can imagine. This process takes hours, you must take it seriously! Everything must be selected and approved by somebody who knows what cooking is like! Not Jamie Oliver that can make a nice Basilico-tomato-pasta!! No NO, Taz selects fine-healthy-well balanced good flavoured food for her loving flatmates! She spreads love! and everybody knows the expression, 'the love goes through the stomach'

This dish is her speciality, she learned to cook this dish from her mother as soon as she was able to stand on her feet. She mixes the flour with water and treats the dough with her bare hands. Then, the dough gets 12 hours of rest in the frigde. Afterwards, it's ready for further steps. She makes the perfect balls and the perfect circles. Then, she makes the filling: frying the perfect fresh vegetables, chilli's, pies, corn, more chilli's, onion, carrots, more chilli's, potato, paprika and chilli's. And of course you bring your food to taste! So you add some spices, prefferably chilli massala powder! Then you bake the dough, which is formed into perfect circles now, and make triangles from them. People in Asia always liked Origami! After making this art work, you fill the triangles with the fillings and fry them in the oil. Tadaaaaa! Ouhlalala.

Eurhgm, maybe you are still thinking 'what is this about?'.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, apples and pears, fruitcakies, it's about Samosa's !

So, to make a long story short, Taz made samosa's and her Swedish journalist friend Anna helped her, while having nice cosy converstations in the meanwhile. They invited their journalist friends, invited other friends, fun fun fun, Russian Vodka, Spanish wine, Dutch Indonesian food, Italian/Finnish cake, beer, crisps, lot of people, spicy & chilli, jammie jammie-party-party:)

Nice party, thanks for coming. Taz, thanks for your 24 hour effort. The rest of the flat, thanks for the cleaning shifts. After the crazy partying all Sunday we cleaned and talked about the night before....
Taz and Lydie were wondering what happend to Christina's legs. You can see the amazement of Chris on her face. It was a strange and magical moment.
The day after, we discussed the latter evening with a nice salty soup (this time by Mieke, not Lydie) and some 'Eastern-European food for poor people' and curry sauce. Because all of this was so bad, Chris proposed pizza and Taz made cracers with camembert. (She could blame her culture because in the UK they dont have camembert but they do have a lot of crackers).

In the evening, Chris made perfect nice little chocholate balls, hmm, Spanish speciality, and a salad with fried potatos and onion....She especially had to call here mom for the recepy, so it's not just something out of a cooking book. No NO, again, special selected food for the loving flatmates :)
Greetings from Mieke, Chris, Taz, Lydie and Fanny
(also Fanny kind of disapeared at the moment of 'the-group-cleaning-team-picture')

A new roommate from Spain!!!!

Hi!
Thusday was a very special day.... Guess what?!??? (easy you would say, I already wrote it) : we have a new roommate! I was so excited!!!! Christina, journalist from Spain who will write something on the blog soon, I hope.

But Mieke was in a destructive mood the day after, and decided to kill everybody by putting some green poison in my delicious apple-banana cake!

See Chris's expression, isn't she afraid???

We are making her life hard.... aren't we?

But anyway; the cake was quite good and nobody die! So Chris has 6 lifes left, but for me I think that it's less! lol (sorry if you don't understand my so funny jokes...)

After this failure, Mieke was quite upset and, because she didn't lose a life by eating the cake, decided to attend to her life in an other way. See the scars on her face! That's because of the stong man (is he a bodybuilder?) she decided to fight against. But, even with this, it wasn't enougth!!!! So she took the "scary movie" knife and Taz came at the right time to rescue the poor girl! Thanks honey, what would we do without you!

In order to have a little more peacefull life, Taz, the rescuer, decided to give everybody a good meal and did a soooooooooo delicious humm what's the name... don't remember :S But anyway, that's very good!!! yes yes So everybody decided to help her, by cutting the carrots, smashing the patatoes etc.... I must say that I had the hard work to do! I won't complain but it was hard word! Dishes? no I had to put the right quantity of oignon (already cuts) into the patatos (already mashed). What an experience!

Ha my babies roommates, I love you! lol That's so english! And to conclude, I will put a picture that was not from my camera but that I love quite a lot! On est pas mimi, comme ça, parées pour aller en soirée :P

Writer : Lydie (the curly one, not very good at puting the pictures at the right place in this blog... oulalaaa)

And Taz, if you want, you have all the rights that you want to correct my (few, for sure) mistakes!
